SUBMISSION DEADLINE
The deadline to send us items is 10 a.m. each Tuesday.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR POLICY
Letters must be written to the editor. We do not allow open letters or those to specific community members, politicians, or groups. There is a limit of 350 words. Letters that use crude language or show poor taste will be rejected. Letters should be opinions, not press releases. They must be free of advertising, poetry, language that could raise legal problems, or claims that are measurably false. Letters submitted at our office or by postal mail should bear a signature. Those submitted via e-mail should include the author’s name, address, and daytime phone number for our records. Letters submitted electronically are preferred. We accept up to two signatures per letter. We also accept letters of thanks, which highlight the generosity and gratitude that are the hallmarks of our small-town communities. The deadline to submit letters is 10 a.m. each Tuesday. They are used on a space-available basis. We reserve the right to edit any submission for length, grammar, spelling, and clarity, or to reject any submission.

BULLETIN BOARD
We are happy to list your nonprofit event in our Bulletin Board for FREE. Items from our Amherst, Oberlin, and Wellington coverage areas will get priority in the event of limited space. We will also print items from elsewhere in Lorain County – again, provided there is space.

CAN MY NONPROFIT EVENT BE LISTED FOR SEVERAL WEEKS?
Once submitted, nonprofit event listings stay in our bulletin board as long as we have space available, up to four weeks prior to the event. You don’t have to submit it again unless there are changes.

CAN MY ITEM BE PUBLISHED ON A CERTAIN DATE?
We do not reserve space or make promises with the exception of obituaries, classifieds, legal ads, and display advertisements, which are paid. We use all-local content and have a set amount of space to use and our goal is to give readers the best content possible.
