Handmade mugs and bowls to benefit OCS

The Empty Mugs Holiday Brass and Organ Spectacular will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 at the First Church in Oberlin, 106 North Main St.

Hear festive holiday music, share in the fun of a live auction, and enjoy holiday refreshments. The Oberlin Choristers will perform.

The auction this year includes three items: a chance for The Feve food truck to cater your home party, a brass ensemble to perform at that special event you are planning, and a piece of art crafted by famed local artists Chris and Noel Breuer.

After the concert and auction, people are invited to the fellowship hall, where hundreds of hand-made mugs, bowls and other pottery — specially crafted for the event and donated by area artisans — will be for sale. All proceeds go to Oberlin Community Services, a dynamic, responsive community-based organization that provides direct assistance, referrals, outreach services, and educational support to Lorain County residents who struggle to meet basic needs.
