History Treasures on Tour
Dec. 1-29, various times

Visit the Oberlin Heritage Center for a special holiday treat. Take part in any regularly offered Upstairs/Downstairs or Sneak Peek tour and see a mini-display of historic artifacts donated to the Heritage Center in the past two years, including an antique trumpet from Oberlin’s Gayters family and many historic photographs.

Upstairs/Downstairs tours are 75 minutes long and are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The cost is $6 for adults.

Sneak Peek tours are 30 minutes long and are available at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The cost is $3 for adults.

These tours are free to OHC members, college students, and children accompanied by an adult.

All tours begin at the Monroe House, 73 1/2 South Professor St., Oberlin.

Advance reservations are encouraged, although walk-ins are welcome, too.


Tour Through Time
Saturdays in December at 11 a.m.

Learn about the clocks and watches in the Oberlin Heritage Center collection, including an ornate Empire-style clock gifted to Charles Grandison Finney. Advance reservations are requested for this one-hour tour, which begins at the Monroe House, 73 1/2 South Professor St., Oberlin. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for OHC members, and free for college students and children accompanied by an adult.
